Who to follow? KEEPING UP WITH INDIA’S ELECTIONS ON X

As part of our effort to keep you abreast on all that is happening during India’s months-long election season, we’ve compiled the most essential accounts to follow to make sense of the ever-changing landscape in the run-up to June 4th.


They range from non-partisan analysts and onlookers to explicitly partisan accounts (which we flag below). In a country driven by politics such as India, both are essential to understanding the narratives and day-to-day shifts of this highly consequential election. 

Non-Partisan analysts

Milan Vaishnav is a senior fellow and director of the South Asia program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. His primary research focus is the political economy of India.  @MilanV

Yamini Aiyar is the President and Chief Executive at the Centre for Policy Research. Her research interests span the fields of social policy, public finance, federalism, and contemporary Indian politics. @AiyarYamini
